kichidi


Ingredients:- 

Rice-1cup
Moong dhal
(green gram dhal)-1/4cup
Water-3 1/2cup
Onion-2 chopped
Tomatoes-4 chopped
curd - 1/4 cup
Green Chilly- 3 chopped
Turmeric powder- 1/2tsp
Ginger garlic paste-3tbl sp.
Cloves -3nos.
Cardamom- 3nos.
Cinnamon-1no very small pice
Ghee or oil- 4 to 5tbl sp
Finely cut mint leaves
Finely cut coriander leaves
Salt as required

Method:-



Fry moong dhal till it will become till brown. Wash rice and moong dhal keep aside.

Heat a pressure cooker add oil or ghee fry cloves, cardamom, cinnamon add onion, green chilly. Add ginger garlic paste. Add tomatoes.  Cook few min. and then add coriander leaves, mint leaves,curd and moong dhal mix it. Add water. When it starts boiling add rice, salt close the lid reduce the flame and keep the weight, cook for 15 min.  Serve hot with Baingan ka Bhurta and Chicken Gravy
